Beginning in 2016, the Lakes Region Bass Chasers will be running the Midweek trail, previously handled by New Hampshire Bass Casters. With the New Hampshire Basscasters hosting the new Elite Midweeks next year, we’ve taken the reigns to keep the traditional “working man’s” Midweeks going strong.
We want to send a sincere thank you to the Bass Casters, and Mike McNamara, for laying the groundwork and encouraging us. We can assure you that very little will change between the Midweeks you're used to and the Midweeks you'll fish next year.
For 2016, participants will have a few different options to choose from:
1. You can join the new Midweek Club, pay the annual dues of $50.00, and fish the trail to collect points, where end-of-year prizes will be handed out for the top 3 finishers in the AOY race, as well as prizes for First Loser, Lunker smallmouth, and Lunker Largemouth. This is a 100% pay-back.
2. You can opt to treat the Midweeks as Opens, and show up and fish as few or as many tournaments as you'd like; However, you won't be eligible for the AOY prizes.
3. You can join the Lakes Region Bass Chasers Midweek Club to become a member of BASS Nation, and be eligible for all of the benefits and events provided by BASS Nation.
Entry Fees, Split Lunker and First Loser fees remain unchanged.
The new website is up and running -- www.lakesregionbasschasers.com
In the menu, there are pages with links to by-laws, tournament rules, and forms that can be downloaded and printed. There are also pages with launch location and facility information, and as the year gets going, pages for results, standings and photos.
We’re currently buttoning up the last few club sponsors, and once those have been finished the sponsor page will go active on the website.
