| Jr Bassmasters, Sunday the 27th is just a few days away. I am really excited about this years Jr STQT. After watching Matt and Ben compete in Canada with the adult state team it really sheds light on how valuable you guys are to the whole State Federation. Just go to the BASS web site and see how the Jr contenders pushed the state of Michigan into the #1 spot thanks to the 2 Jrs who managed to catch over 22lbs in one day. Better yet check out the Jr contender from NJ who not only sealed a better overall finish for his state but placed 7th overall in the entire tournament with the heaviest bag caught all 3 days http://sports.espn.go.com/outdoors/bassmaster/federation/news/story?page=b_tourn_federation_2009_midatlantic_divisional_day3.
We will be fishing Lake Winnisquam on Sunday Sept 27th from 8:00 to 3:00 from the launch at Storey's Sport Shop (Martels) on 49 Winnisquam Ave in Laconia. http://storyssportshop.com/ This will be a 5 fish, 12 inch minimum limit contest. All Jr anglers are to adhere to the same rules we use throughout the season. This will also be a draw style tournament and no one will be permitted to fish with their Dad or relative. We will try to keep to 2 contenders from different age groups paired as best we can.
As always, we will need volunteer Boat Captains for the event. I will expect to see members from both Sail'em and North Country Bronzebacks and hopefully a few from the adult State Team.
Please respond to me as soon as possible if you plan to fish this event and if you or someone you know is going to be a Boat Captain.
Now Let's Get Fishing, Ray | |
